The 31 million dollar demolition and restoration of Casey Middle School has begun. The 1924 Art Deco Facade on the front and south side of the building are being preserved. The razing of the library addition that floated in the front of Casey has revealed the Historic facade along 13th St. The facade is in the process of being re-supported by new footers to secure it during construction.
Along North St. you can see the geothermal system being installed under the football field. Casey is cheduled to reopen in August of 2010.
As a Casey Alumn it is nice to see the past and the future come together on the old 13th st Casey site.
